This class is taught by Paula Ardans, USCCA, NRA and ASP Certified Firearms Instructor (#21-1499), and USCCA Training Counselor.
We are pleased to announce Craig Shelton, USCCA, NRA and Ark CHCL Instructor (#21-1519) and Alex Pinson, USCCA Instructor will assist in the class.
Paula has taught the safe and proper handling of firearms to over 800 students in the last 2 years. Universal Gun Safety Rules will be taught and emphasized throughout the course as you learn to "clear a pistol". This USCCA class is designed to familiarize you with the basic parts and operation of a pistol. You will also learn how to maintain a perfect grip, correct sight alignment, trigger control, breath control, and stance among other things.
For these drills we will use a plastic "blue gun" or "yellow gun" and various plastic gun props. We will also use Mantis, Elms and Strikeman laser practice to simulate firing at a target. You can check for understanding and accuracy, as you learn the techniques required to safely handle a gun. There will also be a discussion about storing your guns and ammo and the importance of using the correct ammo.
This course is great for beginners to advanced shooters!
(You will not need to bring a firearm or ammo to this class. This is classroom education only.)
You may, however book a firing range session with the instructor after taking this course.
